Who we are
Precision printing,
perfect packaging.
Our next-generation packaging solutions create unforgettable experiences and make a lasting impression on people, products and national brands.
Based in Dublin, Inkspot is a leading provider of high-quality print and packaging solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of businesses and individuals alike. With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, we have built a strong reputation as a trusted partner for brands throughout Ireland.
Our commitment to quality
We pride ourselves on using state-of-the-art technology alongside environmentally friendly practices to deliver outstanding results.
Most packaging jobs pass through a number of companies for the various stages of production, sometimes as many as three or four, before they reach the client. Every handover is a place where quality can drift, time is lost and nobody is quite responsible. Ours don't leave the building. It's all in-house.
Coated board takes ink differently to kraft. Kraft takes it differently to corrugated. Left alone, one brand colour drifts across a range until the shelf looks like four different companies. We measure the colour and generate a .cxf file, which can also be used by professional companies from furniture manufacturers to paint suppliers and interior designers, allowing the very best possible colour match across all substrates under various lighting conditions.
Finishing Die-cutting, creasing, foil blocking, embossing, perforation, window patching, straight-line and complex glueing.
Colour Spectrophotometry, substrate profiling, Pantone LIVE and .cxf colour exchange format files.
Substrates Folding box board, kraft, corrugated, coated, uncoated, laminated and specialist stocks.
Colour management
Same brand.
Four substrates.
One colour.
Switch between Unmanaged and With Inkspot to see one brand green on coated carton, uncoated board, kraft and corrugated, before and after every stock is profiled to the same measured standard.
Unmanaged: four stocks, four interpretations. ΔE 2 is the point where a difference becomes visible to the naked eye. These are between 7 and 12.
Solutions
Nine steps.
No handovers.
Consultancy to distribution, every stage runs in one building with one team accountable for the result. Pick a step to see what happens there.
Before the press
Materials, structure, artwork and a folded pack in your hands. Everything that decides whether the run is worth making.
Consultancy & concept
We start before the design does: materials, budget, shelf life and what the packaging can actually hold.
02Design
Structural and graphic design in-house, or clean artwork handling if your own agency is doing it.
03Prototypes
A pack in your hands, on the real board, before a single plate is made.
On the press
Colour measured and profiled, plates made, sheets run. The part most buyers only ever see as a delivery date.
Colour management
Your brand colour measured, profiled and held to the same standard on every substrate.
05Prepress
Separations, trapping, impositions and plates. Quietly where most jobs are won or lost.
06Printing
Sheet-fed offset litho. Plates, ink and thirty years of judgement, meeting the board.
After the press
Cutting, foiling, glueing, checking, palletising. A carton is not finished until it is on your line.

01 to 03 · Consultancy, design & prototypes
A pack you can hold before you commit to print
Sketches become dielines, dielines become samples cut on the actual board. You get to squeeze it, fill it, stack it and stand it on a shelf beside the competition, while changing it still costs nothing.
And we'd rather have the awkward conversation here than at plate stage: whether the finish suits the stock, whether the structure survives a courier, whether the budget matches the ambition.
Sectors
We know
your brand.
We know
your shelf.
Different sectors break packaging in different ways: grease, moisture, cold chain, courier handling, child resistance. We've already met yours.
Food
Premium own-brand cartons, where the print has to look expensive under supermarket lighting and still survive the chill cabinet.
See the work
Healthcare
Cartons and leaflets where the small print is regulated: legibility, batch coding, tamper evidence and child-resistant structures.
See the work07 · Finishes & enhancements
The bit that makes someone pick it up.
A carton has about three seconds to do its job. Foil, varnish, a window, an embossed edge. Or a tag that opens something on a phone.
Security enhancements
- Anti-counterfeit

Sustainability
Paperboard is the easy part. The rest takes work.
Recyclable and certified board, water-based coatings, right-sized structures that cut material and freight, and honest advice when a "sustainable" swap would actually make the pack fail. We'll tell you which is which.
05 to 08 · People & machines
Print is people and machines. We've the best of both.
A team who'd rather ask "what if?" than take the order and say nothing. Presses and finishing kit under one roof, so the process and the lead time stay ours.

Common questions
Straight answers
What kinds of packaging does Inkspot print?
Folding cartons, sleeves, wraps and point-of-sale, on cartonboard, kraft, corrugated and specialist stocks, for food, beverages, healthcare, foodservice, beauty, pet care, personal care and home and garden. Printing, cutting, creasing, foiling, window patching and glueing all happen in-house.
How do you keep a brand colour consistent across different substrates?
We measure the target colour with a spectrophotometer, then build a printing profile for each substrate and press combination. That profile is saved as a shareable colour file (a .cxf, or a Pantone LIVE dependent standard), so every printer working on the brand, here or abroad, aims at the same measured target rather than at a swatch book and their own judgement.
Can I see a sample before committing to a print run?
Yes, and we'd rather you did. We cut prototypes on the actual board you'll be running, so you can fill it, stack it and shelf-test it before any plates are made. Changes at that stage cost nothing.
Do you work directly with design agencies?
Constantly. We'll join at artwork stage or earlier, advise on substrate and finish before the design is locked, supply proofs your client can sign off, and keep our name off the job entirely if that's how you prefer to work.
What anti-counterfeit and tamper-evident options are available?
Anti-counterfeit features, child-resistant structures, tamper evidence and traceability can all be built into the pack. For healthcare and pet care especially, which combination you need depends on your regulator as much as your brand, so it's a conversation for step one, not step seven.
What lead time should we allow?
It depends on the finishing, but because presses and finishing kit sit under one roof we're not waiting on a third party in the middle of your job. Come to us with a date and we'll tell you straight away whether it's on.
Start a project
Submit your project details, and we'll provide an honest, expert evaluation.
Finished artwork, a sketch on the back of a spec sheet, or just a deadline you're worried about. All of them are a fine place to start.
